Register and Go - 7:00 am to 9:00 am
The Oxon Hill Bicycle and Trail Club invites cyclists to explore the rural countryside along the Patuxent River on its 12th annual Patuxent River Rural Legacy Ride.
Rides of 13, 26, 49 or 64 start at the Merkle Wildlife Sanctuary in Croom, MD (15 miles southeast of the Washington Beltway). All routes have a rest stop in the Jug Bay Natural Area of the Patuxent River Park. The 13-mile route includes 4 miles of unpaved road and trails through the park. The longer routes are on paved, lightly-traveled rural roads and have rest stops at Magruders Landing and Eagle Harbor on the Patuxent River.
The ride is fully supported with marked roads, map and cue sheets, sag wagon support, food and drinks at rest stops, and an after-ride picnic. Registration is $15 in advance or $20 on the day of the ride.
Register by mailing in the online registration form or register online at active.com.
