Cinderella Progressive Training Ride Series #5 (Sausalito/Tiburon)

Join us on our 10-week progressive training ride series, developed to prepare you to ride in the Cinderella Classic on April 5th.  We'll take you from our 15-mile Melo Velo to 60-miles in preparation for this super-fun all-women's ride.

This week, we'll increase to 27 miles with 1,500' of climbing, meeting at Gate 6 Road in Sausalito @ 9:00am.

You can view, print a cue sheet or export the route here:  http://ridewithgps.com/routes/913157

Please note:  the Cinderella Classic is an organized, supported ride put on by the Valley Spokesmen cycling club.  Registration can be found here:

I am looking forward to doing a Velo Girls ride in my neck of the woods. I expect to be on the slow side as I just started riding again after knee surgery.

    What to bring:
    - you and your bike in good working condition
    - tools and a spare tube in case you get a flat
    - water and food
    - money if you want coffee in Tiburon
    -Helmet (required)
    - a charged cell phone

How to dress for Sausalito - in layers. I usually start w/ knee or leg warmers and arm warmers, a vest and/or jacket - stuff that I can take off and easily store in my jersey pockets. Don't forget your sunglasses. Depending on temperature - full fingered gloves option

    What to leave behind:
    - your earbuds
    - Boys (sorry - women's only ride)

I would like to get a ride from the Menlo Park area. Does anyone have room for me and my bike?

Is anyone coming from the city? I'm in the Castro, and I'm thinking about biking to the start point (does anyone have space to give a girl and a bike a ride? :))

I'm in the mission and was planning to bike but we could carpool if you want. I can get both our bikes and both of us. Also happy to meet up and ride with you.

I don't really like biking over the bridge, so it would be awesome if you would be willing to drive! I'm happy to pitch in for gas too :-) I can ride to your place...

I don't think so -- check the cue sheet for exact route.

Is this a reverse Paradise Loop ride where we're starting out towards Tiburon first then working our way back through Corte Madera & Mill Valley at the end?

I'll be in So Cal this weekend ... but I'll be riding there!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
