Do you have a favorite freethought 'hero'?

I try not to have 'gurus' or 'heroes' of any kind after what I went through, so I like to think of myself as my own hero. Instead of Jesus, it's me. Instead of Christopher Hitchens (who is cool, by the way), I prefer my own arguments against religion. I do love Freedom From Religion Foundation, though.

What's the stupidest religious idea you've ever heard?

Can I say all of them? The Purity Movement really did me in. I was 'pure' for 7 years and even married Jesus at one point.

When did you first admit to being an atheist?

2011, I think. I "came out" on my blog after sort of beating around the bush on the subject. Then my family lost their shit and so many friends disowned me. It was great (sarcasm).

Introduction

I'm Lisa Kerr. I live in Thousand Oaks and have been here 3 years. I also started blogging openly about religion 3 years ago; except my blog was critical of religion so that didn't go over too well. :)
