Richard Dawkins, for giving a courageous voice to atheists. His writing and speaking cuts through the uneducated shroud of unreason like knife through butter.
That nothing predates complex intelligence (creative, conscious God); that basically, the universe does not begin in simplicity but rather complexity.
In my later teens, after realizing that religion was a..."psychopathology", as Arthur Clarke wrote. Understanding the scientific alternatives was also key in me now being an outspoken atheist.
Atheist, philosopher, debater, pianist, and nice guy. :)
