Microsoft App Camp

This is your opportunity to learn how to build and deploy Windows apps.  Verge WL, LafayetTech, Purdue and Microsoft have put together a three day event to give everyone the experience of building and deploying apps.  RSVP on Facebook! Prizes sponsored by Microsoft, the Purdue Entrepreneurship Certificate Program, and Purdue Innovation & Commercialization Center (ICC).

Thursday June 6th at 6pm we will be kicking off with team building and informational sessions.  Brad Jensen, Development Evangelist from Microsoft will be presenting information about how to build apps for the Windows environment.  This session will run several hours Thursday night.

Friday June 7th at 6pm the Hackathon portion starts.  24 hours of building Windows apps.

People of all skill levels are welcome to attend and participate, knowledge of coding or design are not required.  We will have several templates for beginners to use to get started, along with some coaches to help through sticking points.

We will be having prizes for both beginners and advanced developers so come join us in learning and competing.

Looking forward to seeing lots of our Verge members taking part in this summer fun! Don't forget to RSVP on Facebook!! This link will take you right there.

    Hey Verge Members!

If you haven't already please make sure to fill out this sign up form for the Microsoft App Camp. It literally only takes a minute, and if you don't already have a Purdue account this is the only way that we can get you wi-fi access for the whole event. Link is listed below:

Looking forward to seeing you all there!

Sherry, please feel free to extend this invitation to others! All I'd ask is that they RSVP at least on the Facebook event so that we can make sure to get them set up for wireless access. Thanks!

This sounds awesome, but I've got a previous commitment that night. Enjoy the event! Looking forward to future events.
