It's time to get excited for our next Verge event! We've got two great Purdue startups pitching this month, and a fireside chat presenter who I think you're all really going to enjoy.
Doors open at 6:30, and we'll be serving food and brews (for those 21+). Make sure to come early, mingle and help us get things rolling!
For those of you who missed our last event at The Anvil, we actually got filled to legal capacity! So - we're going to start things off this time by opening 35 spots for our next event. (Yes, everything's still FREE) Make sure to grab a spot while you can, and jump on the waiting list if things get full! We'll try to get more people in as people have to cancel and we make more spots available.
To start off we have PearCircuit, a group of young Purdue students pitching their first app, MatchBox+. MatchBox+ is an app that not only plays matchmaker, but also takes the risk out of romance between friends.
Next we have Ben Brame with Spensa Technologies. Spensa provides painless, cost-effective pest management tools for modern agriculture.
For our Fireside Chat we are happy to have our own Tim Peoples. Prior to his position as an Entrepreneur in Residence at The Foundry, Tim was the Director of the Purdue Technology Centers and Director of the Purdue Research Park Entrepreneurship Academy for the Purdue Research Foundation. Tim was also formerly the VP of Research at GENOCO Industries, and worked in Product development at American Cyanamid Co. - where he traveled internationally and was stationed for five years in Rio de Janeiro. In addition to all this, Tim worked from 2001-2005 as Director of R&D and Director of Regulatory Affairs for NutraPark, a startup developing University of Wisconsin technology.
Make sure to RSVP and get a spot while you still can, and I look forward to seeing you all for another great event!
