Verge May Meetup

Good morning! I hope you had a good Memorial Day and race weekend. Our May Verge event will kick off at 5:30 PM this Thursday, May 31 at 10-01 Food & Drink. We're taking over the downstairs bar, but keeping the group slightly smaller than usual to make sure we can still move around and talk with each other.

  • Chris Gray will pitch Track Ahead, a career-focused recruiting platform.
  • Brad Bostic will pitch, the first ever healthcare CRM.
  • Brad Wisler and Mike Trotzke, co-founders of SproutBox, will be our fireside chat presenters. They will talk through some of his founder stories and insights from being involved with dozens of software startup deals.

Registration is now open to 80 people. If you can't make it on Thursday, don't sweat it, because we'll be livestreaming everything so you can view from the comfort of your own home or wifi hotspot. In case you missed the details in the previous paragraph (or are more of a bullet-point reader), here are the important details:

  • When: Thursday, May 31, 5:30 PM
  • Where: 10-01 Food & Drink, 1001 Broad Ripple Ave.

See you there!

10:01 was an awesome experience. Intimate yet not crowded.

    A blast from the past?

Was that like Verge before it exploded? (I'll avoid "viral") I'd like to think so. One cannot replicate it from time, but it was fun (and always educational).

I arrived very, very early (long story), so I saw the setup for everything. No matter how simple things look, there's a lot of effort to make things "just so".

Nicely done. Very different feel with a smaller group. A good changeup.

Positives = fewer people (easier to mingle!), smaller venue, great food, impressive firechat guests
Negatives = ONLY Upland wheat beer..., no signage to lead down to 10-01 basement, short notice for event

Another great event! Always something new to learn from other members, good discussions, great new contacts.

Well done Matt! This was one of my all time favorite Verge events! Great pitches, both under 5 minutes, and good insights from Sprout Box. I know we probably can't keep all of the events under 100 people, but I dig...

Love the energy at Verge! I met terrific people and look forward to the Innovation Showcase in July. Keep it coming Matt!

Great job! I attended last year's Innovation Showcase, but this was my first monthly Verge event. What an exciting group, definitely looking forward to continue getting plugged in. Thanks!

The venue was very loud and crowded. It made moving around and talking with people very difficult. Add the loud music on top of the bad acoustics and it was not an enjoyable experience. The hc1 presentation was not a pitch, it was a recruiting effort for employees. This is not what I have come to expected from Verge.

This will be a good one. Bummed I'm going to miss hearing Brad Wisler and Mike Trotzke but I'll be on a plane.
