This group is dedicated not only to hiking but to all kinds of outdoor activities as well as meeting other local adventure enthusiasts.

Most hikes will be day trips on local trails in Vermont with occasional treks to the Adirondacks.  Leashed and well-behaved dogs are welcome at the discretion of the event host.

You are welcome to post photos of outings. Happy Trails!!

================================================

This is an outdoor sports meetup group.  When you voluntarily participate in outdoor sports, certain risks are associated. Please read the following information carefully. If you agree, you're one of us.

"As a condition of your voluntary participation in this activity you acknowledge and agree to the following: this activity involves inherent risks that can cause property damage, injury, illness, disability, and/or death to participants and/or others; you assume all risk associated with this activity; you are responsible for having the necessary knowledge, skills, abilities, clothing, and equipment to safely participate in this activity; you know and will follow the Hiker Responsibility Code described at www.hikesafe.com; the leader(s) of this activity are volunteers; and you release, hold harmless, and indemnify the leader(s) and all members of this group from any and all claims for property damage, injury, illness, disability, and/or death - including those caused by negligence and/or other reasons."

Member dues have been suspended indefinitely but Meetup's subscription fee lives on. Please consider a  small contribution to help defray expenses.

If you have an event idea, or an urge to explore somewhere, suggest it yourself and invite others to come along or contact an Event Organizer for advice. Feel free to ask me (Karl) anything, any time.

I've deleted the stern NO SHOW POLICY section of this overview, but it's still polite to change RSVP as early as possible if you won't be able to attend. No Show is a faux pas.
