Summer Sunset Sail
Friends, Wine and Hors d'oeuvres
This event sold out last summer - Don't be left out!
Sail into the sunset aboard Chardonnay II, a 70' world class yacht, with their Wine and Hors d'oeuvres package: Wine, assorted ice cold beer and soft drinks, assorted cheese, fresh vegetables with dip, seasonal fruit, baguettes.
The cost is $57.00 and includes the sailing, wine, beer and Hor d'oeuvres and must pay in advance with your RSVP. Since this is a limited group, it will certainly sell out. You can pay with Paypal, or a credit card. If you want to pay by check or cash, contact me.
I've done this before and it's a great time. The sail boat is very large and very stable, and not a lot of rocking around. We sailed along with dolfins, seals and checked out the otters, birds and other marine life. The crew is very hospitable, frequently filling your wine glass, bringing a beer or passing out hors d"oeuvres, while the stereo system plays great music setting a great mood. Whether a romantic evening out or good friends getting together, the sunset sail is a great way to spend your evening.
This is going to be a great time. Even better if you are prepared.
Shoes: No high heals that are hard to walk in or shoes that scuff the deck on the boat. You can go barefoot on the boat or bring a second pair of shoes for later.
How to dress: I suggest dressing in layers so you can adjust the changing temperatures, sun, wind, etc.
Carpool/Caravan from San Jose area: Meet at Kohl's at 525 E Hamilton Ave (behind Elephant Bar) near Hwy 17 in Campbell at 4:30 PM, leaving at 4:40 PM, SHARP. Look for my red corvette. Don't be late. If you miss us you will have to drive to the Santa Cruz Yacht Harbor yourself and be there by 5:30 for check-in.
Parking: The yacht harbor parking lot (opposite side of the harbor from The Crow's Nest) takes about $3.00 in quarters to park and have the meeter not run out before we get back. The parking ticket is expensive compared to a few extra quarters.
After Sailing: We'll head across the harbor to the Crow's Nest. We'll go upstairs to the bar or deck for something to eat, drinks and more fun. If you want to stay later I think the band starts about 9:30.
