PHPSpec in 2 minutes by Sebastian Göttschkes

Doing unit tests with PHPSpec changes the way you do TDD. In 2 minutes, the basics will be covered.

SilverStripe by Philipp Krenn

• Overview of the SilverStripe ecosystem and history

• Taking a look at the CMS

• Messing around with the underlying framework and extending the CMS

• Beware: This session will include live coding and might go horribly wrong ;-)

"symfony2 Forms: Past, Present and Future" by Bernhard Schussek

The Symfony2 Form component is a critical part for many Symfony2 applications. As such, we have been constantly improving the component to handle the many different use cases of our users and to lower the barrier to entry for newcomers. As seasoned Symfony2 developer, all
these changes can be sometimes hard to track. What about backwards compatibility? Will your business-critical applications break? And the questions don't stop there. How can you get up to scratch with the latest best practices? What can you expect from future versions? And how can you get involved to help things move faster? I will try to answer these and many other questions in my talk.

"Hydra Symfony Bundle" by Matthias Steinböck

Matthias will present his Hydra Bundle for symfony, a social media channel aggregator.

After Gathering Party by Stockwerk:

After the gathering we will have a little party in the kitchen/bar of Stockwerk in the 1. floor, having some drinks and snacks and socializing.

Really good meetup last night. Learned a lot of new stuff (I'd never heard of Silver Stripe and I've never used Symfony before) and the pizza was very welcome!

Thanks to the organizer, you're doing a great job with this - it's been getting better and better each month.

Hi, I plan to talk about "MongoDB and PHP". I'll give an introduction to NoSQL and then will quickly move on to moving MongoDB with Doctrine or similar.

The full proposal is here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/30769twib36u7h1/MongoDB_and_PHP.pdf

I'd love to know if this is interesting to you or if you have any suggestions. Let me know!

Hi! i could hold a talk on a symfony bundle i wrote a while ago: https://github.com/virtualidentityag/hydra the bundle is a social channel aggregator that lets you create live feeds of your (companies) social activities. i would prepare examples for both people: those who use symfony and those who don't.

    February 11, 2014

    • Sebastian G.

Sounds very nice. I'll get back to you as soon as we know more about the next meetup. But please prepare you talk, because we need more mini-talks anyway!
