Lovely Luzern

This location is shown only to members

We'll spend the day exploring and photographing this picturesque postcard town. It's Faschnacht weekend too, so we might discover some interesting subjects and new angles for shooting this tourist favorite.

We'll start from the Luzern train station at 11:00, or you can meet us first in Zurich to take the train as a group (10:04 departure from Zurich, arrives Luzern at 10:49).

It will be a leisurely day to walk along the lake and through the Altstadt with cameras ready. If time, interest and weather allow, we can take a boat ride. If the weather keeps us indoors, we can visit one of the many museums (the Picasso museum, with a great collection of photos documenting the artist's life and work, or the Verkehrshaus museum of transport are just two of the many possibilities).

If you have a suggestion for a great place, on or off the tourist path, in Luzern, let us know.

It was a nice and easy Sunday outing. It was the first time for me attending this meetup group and I enjoyed the time with the group very much. We have been walking around Luzern a bit, shooting some pictures and chatted over a coffee and lunch a bit about our experience in photography. It was an interesting and nice group and I will join them again next time.

The day started out with a grey snowy morn, but then with the pleasant company, a bit of sun .shine and happy moods all around, we had a lot of fun exploring lanes, churches and bridges of the city. It was nice to share the tips from all the experienced photogrpahers there, who were ever so willing to help a novice like me....I am so glad I came to the metup and met such interesting folk. I look forward to the next one
