Drinking wine, according to ancient greek sect The Orphics, was a symbolic religious ceremony. The intoxication that they sought was that of "enthusiasm," of union with the god. They believe themselves in this way, to acquire mystic knowledge not obtainable by ordinary means.
Why we drink wine today?
(1) wine tastes good, their aromas are complex and lead into the flavours experienced on the palate.
(2) their flavours, too are complex and should register right along the tongue with a ligering aftertaste.

We organize meetups over different cultural activities (wining and dining at various sydney fine restaraunts and wine bars, attending a concert or a book reading, visiting an art gallery, seeing a theatre play or a fashion parade etc), we believe that participating actively in those cultural activities does not only enhance your appreciation of fine cultures but also stimulates social interactions among members. My preference is to meet up at interesting cultural events followed by a dinner party at a fine restaurant or a wine bar.We prefer local unique venues with a soul.
