Within the past month, we’ve had a nice influx of new members! This bump in membership signals the perfect opportunity to hold a well established format known to all as “Newbie’s Night”.

Newbie’s Night is designed to introduce the facts to creative folks with the insane desire to be a professional voice talent. What is a “quote” professional voice talent? That is exactly what we cover during Newbie’s night.

Since the level of experience is beginning to vary greatly within the group, I find it counterproductive to be covering the basics each meet up, specifically for the very important new members. The basics are extremely important and understanding the basics dictate whether or not one cares to pursue this adventure.
This is a 2 1/2 hour seminar that introduces the skills required to pursue a career in voice acting. We will be discussing The Big 3: Physical, Technical and Psychological. I uncover a plethora of web resources that can keep you very busy for weeks! I discuss the importance of a home studio and introduce some of the gear used to self-produce your audio tracks.

Here is a great opportunity to evaluate your potential and really see if this is something you’d like to commit yourself to. Everyone will get a chance to read some copy. It may be an advertisement, Children’s story or even the local weather. You will leave with a clear understanding of this industry, where it is going and what is needed to hop on board.
