Most of the regular meet up attendees have done some excellent work taking direction & recording. Many of you have received produced spots. I hope you are keeping everything you record at the meet ups. I have back-ups if needed.
As I have said in the past, it takes quite a few performances to make a "stand-out demo". Do you need a lot of flash and fancy editing to impress a potential client? Does loading up on vocal effects help seal the deal? How long should it be? Should I sing too? No to all of the above. A successful Voice demo is well thought out, edited for content, sequenced and should be considered a mini-movie. It must be compelling, inviting and most important, a true representation of your talent and unique abilities. It should have a beginning, middle and end. And it should be no longer than 60 seconds. The more material you have to pull from, the better your representation will be.
Come to the next Meet Up and record another bullet for your arsenal! You may chose to do a cross read*, or shine on your own. Each attendee will be given the opportunity for 1 cold read and up to 2 directed reads. Since this will be reading/directing intensive, there will be no additional lecturing (phew), therefore, you may stay for each members reading and direction (recommended) or feel free to leave after your recording. You will received your produced final demo addition within a few days after the recording.
*I will offer a SPECIAL bonus if you choose a cross-read platform. More info to follow.

Please note:
There will be a slight increase in the fee for this event considering the amount of "big time professional editing and production stuff" I'll be doing for you.

LisaAs usual, I very much enjoyed the vocal exercise, practice with script reading and direction, and the opportunity to gather with other VO-interested folks. I also liked the new, smaller, more intimate setting!

Refunds offered if:
- the Meetup is cancelled
- the Meetup is rescheduled
- you can cancel at least 3 day(s) before the Meetup
Payments you make go to the organizer, not to Meetup. You must make refund requests to the organizer.
