Baby, it's cold outside... but the passion for VO is running HOT! It's our 1st NEWBIE's NIGHT of 2014! With SO many new upcoming topics and special guests, we need to get the multitude of new members up to speed.

Without further ado... Future Voice Over Actors... Ready... GO! We welcome you to test the water or jump in head first! This event always fills fast. Don't wait to sign up. There is only room for 12.

Description: This is for those who have yet to attend a Meet-Up. The basics are extremely important and the understanding of those basics dictate whether or not one cares to pursue this adventure. This is a 3+ hour hands-on seminar that introduces the skills required to pursue a career in voice acting. We will be discussing The Big 3: Physical, Technical and Psychological.

Here is a great opportunity to evaluate your potential and help you decide if voice acting is worth your time and commitment. Everyone will get a chance to read & record some copy. It may be an advertisement, animation excerpt, audiobook excerpt, children story or even the local weather. You will receive your raw audio with direction via email a few days after the meet up. You will also receive the now famous DVA Newbie's Handout, packed with info, exercises and demo scripts as well as my pal John Florian's awesome voiceoverxtra.com pencils! Wow! You will leave with a clear understanding of this industry, where it is going and what is needed from you to compete. Hope to see you there!

Thank you Cliff and Shrek for a valuable and informative evening. I look forward to attending more classes, learning the technical aspects of the business and moving to the next level...having a home studio.

Cliff really knows his stuff. Great director and mentor. Even though there were 12 of us I got individual attention when it was my turn to read. Technical, acting and business info I was needing. Before the session I was ready to book a demo session and glad I didn't. Which is a good thing because I don't have to spend that money and I know what I need to start working acting wise. Well worth the time and money. Best, and probably least, money one can spend getting voice over coaching and biz advice.

Very nice venue, lots of relevant information. Thanks to the airquotes Master of All Voices end airquotes Cliff for all the direction and interpretation. I listened to Garrison Keillor Sunday morning. Makes me realize what his genius is all about. Thanks everyone for sharing. A little overwhelmed this morning.

Very enjoyable, perhaps a bit on the long side, but contained very good, relevant information. I really appreciated the 'spend no money' message that Cliff emphasized repeatedly. A refreshing change from EVERY other VO meetup group I have been to...in fact, the complete opposite. Most try to sell something right off the bat. Be it demos, seminars, CD's, books, you name it. Never do they mention how difficult (although very much worthwhile) it is to become a working VO talent.

It was nice stepping out of my comfort zone with something I've never attempted before, coming just from casual talk on the radio. Critique is good!

Nice info, nice venue, wish I could've stayed longer! Can't wait for the next one!

Hello friends! Been doing freelance VO work for the past few years, looking to network, and to learn from others, while offering my limited expertise on the subject as well! Looking forward to meeting you all!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
