This Meet Up has sold out. Please get on the wait list!

Your DVA is thrilled and honored to have Amy Snively (rhymes with lively) guest host our Aug. 13th Meet Up to be held at the beautiful and spacious Reading and Radio Resource in Uptown Dallas!

Amy is the founder and producer of FaffCon: The voiceover unconference, now on its 5th event, which sold out in just a few hours.

Monday, August 13th

6 PM to 10 PM

Reading & Radio Resource, Uptown Dallas, TX

Amy is a busy professional voice talent based in Los Angeles. Her favorite thing about having an ISDN-equipped studio in her home is that she can ride her stationary bicycle to work.

Her specialties include:

. Script interpretation

. Self direction

. Improv in the booth

. Finding your "real" sound

. Identifying new opportunities

. Helping pros connect with each other

. Public speaking

. And she's pretty funny, too!

Credits include:

Meineke, Meijer, HP, TLC, GlaxoSmithKline, Allergan, Atlantis Resort, IBM, Kodak, HGTV, United Way, Girl Scouts USA, Discovery Health, TLC, Carnival, Atlantis Resort, Pantech, and Diageo Brands.

Most of her voice work is radio and TV commercials, corporate communication, instructional media, point-of-purchase and trade show presentations, among other projects. "I start every day with five business cards in the left cup of my brassiere and don't allow myself to go home until they are gone. My mother taught me that people who don't use their bra are missing out on a lot of storage potential."

Due to additional costs and compensation to Ms. Snively, this meet up registration fee will be slighter higher.

Wow! Great VO workout and LOADS of good information! Amy was full of insightful comments! It was awesome to be in a room filled with such talented voiceover artists! Also, I must say, I truly appreciate how patient Cliff is and how he will not let you sit down until he has pulled the best read possible from you. :) He is an invaluable resource. As usual, already looking forward to the next meetup!

Cliff is continually raising the bar for the DVA group by bringing in gifted voice actors as co-directors to augment his already profound experience in VO direction and training. The meetup with Amy was absolutely the BEST! She is great fun to work with and a real sweetheart! When is she coming back?! :-)

When a person gets a chance to attend a DVA Meetup, it makes for an invigorating evening full of shared energy and fun. A time not to be missed, for sure.

When a person gets to attend a DVA Meetup with Amy Snively, you're going to get:
    - An incredible talent sharing her extremely significant experience
    - A person who can impart her wisdom and experience to others easily (this is not a common thing)
    - Someone who takes your read on the journey from where it is, to where it should be Amy has been a colleague and friend for some time, and the Meetup allowed people to realize what I know: that she is a talented, funny, wonderful human being who knows what she's talking about, and isn't afraid to share. And by the end of the night, everyone in attendance had the privilege to know what I know.

Thank you, Amy, for coming to our fair city. It was so wonderful to see you and have you meet my wife. I can't wait for us to work together again, and hope we get to hang again soon.

Amy was excellent at giving direction. Feedback was ALWAYS courteous, sincere, funny, and extremely helpful. I loved how she had NO problem with jumping in and making a person feel special with one-on-one direction and guidance. I learned so much and VERY glad I attended! Thank you!

Another phenomenal session! Amy's experience combined with her personality made for easy learning. She made ambiguous concepts clear and did so in such a way to make it easier to remember and apply to other scripts. Amy and Cliff tag teamed the direction and coaching very well. Very glad to have been there.

Had a wonderful time at the meetup. It was such a pleasure to meet and work with Amy. She is fun, extremely helpful and super knowledgeable. Oh, and she's super nice as well. It was very helpful to have two points of view when it came to the directing. Everyone's performance was great too! Keep it up guys!

A great time as always. The level of talent at these kinds of meetups is always top notch and helps you become better by no only performing, but listening to other's reads. Thank you Amy and Cliff for a great job of dual-coaching to help us all get to the next level!

AMY!! Thank you SO much for guest hosting our Monday DVA Meet Up! I could go on for hours about how incredible, lovable, real, inspiring and right on the money you were, but I think I'll let the members do that. Reviews will be coming up all week. See you in Charlotte! Thanks again!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
