I really would like to start playing but have not in a very long time. however the reviews are not favorable when it comes to new players. That is a real shame..

“ This group has been around for decades! Skill level varies all the time so be prepared for anything from sloppy play to competitive play. Most folks have the basics down, or should. Just play hard, try to improve , and enjoy yourself while getting some exercise. Try not to be TOO serious (myself included!). ” — Jay on Jun 27, 2011.

For the most part for $10. You get what you pay for which is why my complaints can only go to a certain exstent. I honestly feel that experienced players and inexperienced players donot mix well. This makes inexperienced feel unwelcomed and the experienced fustrated. People have been injured which is discouraging due to not knowing where they are supposed to be on the court. The courts should be leveled. This way the experienced people can play more competitively and the inexperienced can feel more comfortable as they play.

I was excited to join this group although a little scared because it had been awhile since I played and I was a bit rusty. One or two people were really nice and helpful as I tried to relearn the game. But the majority rolled their eyes or otherwise became visibly frustrated by my presence. I haven't been back. I don't enjoy feeling like a dead weight, which is too bad because I really do want to get back into the game. This group is just a little too competitive. I wonder if you should split it up; Monday night for more laid back games for beginners and Wednesday for more competitive players.

People should try an be more accepting of players with various skill levels...this would make the atmosphere lighter and much more enjoyable and fun.

Almost all of the players are just there to get some exercise and have fun. There are weaker players and stronger players, but it seems to even out well with the teams. Most of the more experienced and skillful players are helpful to the newer players. I really do wish that a few people weren't allowed to impose their musical tastes on everyone else, though.
