A former mathlete trying to become an athlete. "Solid intermediate" level, trying to improve conditioning, passing, spiking, and blocking... and setting and serving...
A very friendly group - you can just walk right in and join. They are very accepting of beginners, though for the sake of safety and such, it'd be good if you know the basics (don't go under the net, know what the setter should and should not do, don't come flying in from back row and topple people over and the like... basically let's keep the sport non-contact). I suppose A and above (or similarly ex-collegiate) players who want intense vball all the time might not find it their cup of tea, but the more relaxed ones who do come out to socialize, play, and/or drink definitely seem to be having a good time as well. Basically, anyone with the right attitude can come and have fun because it's a great group.
