This message is being written because it is long overdue. It seems like there needs to be a reminder of how to conduct yourselves when you come to this group. It is indeed frustrating when you are on the court and you can’t get a rally or someone doesn’t hit the ball right or whatever the case may be. Please be reminded that it is unacceptable for you or anyone else to put someone down because of it.
For some of you who get overconfident like your better than others because you think (and please lets emphasize THINK) you are an A player there are plenty of other players outside this group that would make you look Z list in comparison. In fact, you don’t even get a letter you get a question mark.
If you have the need to be really competitive do 1 of 2 things.
Get your OWN net and set up your OWN group or find another group because there are plenty out there who are quite stringent on how to play or who plays. BEAR IN MIND that this is an ALL LEVELS group and people come here because there is no need to worry about all that stress. Everyone just wants to enjoy themselves. If there is an issue on the court, pull the person aside and address them when the game is over or HELP that person become a better player.
That is the ADULT thing to do. We all lose the ball when hitting, we all lose a game, miss a spike, hit the ball into the net you get the point. Yes ALL of us. You are not playing for money, this is not a national championship, this is not a life and death situation.
Also, for those of you, who spit on the court please stop it.
It is nasty and unsanitary. This isn't even something that should have to be told to you. People sometimes have to dive for a ball or slip on the court and no one needs to land in your spit. Be a little more considerate.
Do not respond to this message because none of them will be read and you will be wasting your time. Just do understand that nobody needs to be reminded of their level of play because I’m sure they already know. Stay in your lane and play your position.
To the main organizer, thank you for putting much of your time into keeping this group going it is appreciated.
