It was great to meet you guys last night. Really motivated me to think of "side' projects. If you want to learn more about about embedded systems, I mentioned this free online course https://courses.edx.org/courses/UTAustinX/UT.6.01x/1T2014/info. It requires some programming experience.

I'm developing a travelling roadshow / immersive film that utilizes full dome projection but am very interested in the possibility of using the Oculus Rift as an alternative means of exhibition. I'd love to get a feel for the Oculus experience first hand.

Heads up: For one week only the Gallery space we usually have will be hosting some awesome lightning talks on automated testing (which you are very welcome to check out).

We will run hardware hack at the *same address as usual* but in the space outside the main Gallery. We will set aside some working areas and things will be cool as always... See you Wednesday!

Thanks for organizing. What are the options for someone who has never hacked hardware before but wants to be exposed to different tools? Will organizers be available to demo any of the technologies, or are there some vetted "Getting Started With ____" online resources?

Hi Emily, we are all about making connections. At the start we will get a sense of who's in the group and try to get you talking to someone with experience in the tech you came to hack on. However to increase the chances of making a connection, please feel free to leave a comment here explaining your interest area, or drop me a direct message. Hope to see you Wednesday!

Great; thanks for being so welcoming and setting up a framework for getting started! Due to a tidal wave of school work, I won't be able to come this time, but I definitely look forward to joining you all in the future. Have a good meetup!

I'm busy this week, but I should see you guys next week. Have fun!
