My friends at Phasica are currently prototyping an impressive 3D capture device that I would describe as a kinect on steroids (using new and different technology). The best thing is it will be in the same price range. I expect they will be launching the product this year and I'm sure they would love to share it with the group. I will contact Sean, Ellen, etc. when they can make it over to NYC.
