Hi, I'm the organizer of this group and appreciate any questions, comments, or suggestions you have on how to make it a more valuable experience for you. Sean
What are you working on or interested in doing with the Kinect?
I helped write a book called "Meet the Kinect" ( http://meetthekinect.com ) which is an introduction to natural user interface application development and the technology behind Kinect available from Apress December 2011. I'm fascinated by the cinematic possibilities of volumetric 3D which is made affordable by Kinect. To that end I'm working with NYC chapter member Alan Jackson to create a consumer priced volumetric 3D display called the VoxieBox ( http://voxiebox.com ) that can visualize true spatial imagery. The world is not flat - and with volumetric 3D cinema we'll be start to explore new worlds of expression.
