"Coffee with Dawn" Volunteers needed to be visiting companions.

Coffee with Dawn (member of Volunteer Connections)

Dawn Thomas, Volunteer Coordinator with Tridia Hospice is seeking volunteers as companions to patients within the Tridia Hospice program. Volunteers to sit with and visit with patients, many who often have no family members; volunteers who can be an important part in the patient's life.

Tridia Hospice currently has 80 patients in their program, and feel that each and every one of their patients deserves a friendly visit. And, it is possible that members of Volunteer Connections could become an important part of these patients lives.

If you have an hour (or more) in a week, enjoy visiting with people, and would enjoy just being a friendly companion to a patient in hospice, please stop by and meet with Dawn to learn more about this volunteer opportunity.

You will be able to meet with Dawn in the mall side dining area, in front of Panera Bread in the Worthington Place Mall. Just look for the table with  with the "Volunteer Connections" sign.

This is just a meet and greet and to learn more about hospice and volunteering to spend time with our patients. If you decide this is something you would like to do, we can schedule orientation and get the process started.

Hi Dawn. Where is the Tridia Hospice area here in Columbus? I live in Plain City, and wonder how close it would be to do this.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
