November 16 Meeting DONATIONS:

It's that time of year when we think about how lucky we are, what great friends we've made - and realize that not everyone is as fortunate.   Single Volunteers is asking all members to help us donate to a bunch of young guys who could use our help.  Volunteers of America has 56 young men who are in need of many things.  These young men are between the ages of 18-24 - and many are homeless or in transitional housing.  Several of these boys were in the foster care system and now find themselves on their own.  So, we will be creating care packages and goodies for them at our November and December meetings.  Here's what you can do.

November Meeting:Bring 3 items to the meeting:  one package of new Men's socks (i.e, 3 per package), one toothbrush and one tube of toothpaste.  If you can't bring all 3 items please bring what you can - and if you can contribute more we'd appreciate that as well.  The Dollar Stores are a great resource.

December 21 Meeting DONATIONS:

Bring 1 or 2 new warm winter hats/stocking hats to the meeting.  In addition we know what great cookie makers we have in our group.  Let's give these young men a package of Holiday Cookies.  "A Cookie Exchange"!!  I'm sure they don't get homemade cookies!   We ask each member to bring a couple dozen cookies (or more) and after the meeting we'll divide them up into 60 holiday containers.  We'll make an assembly line to fill all the boxes.    This will be fun!

I'm not too sure where Olmsted Falls is. Where is it from Cleveland. I live in Summit County.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
