Single Volunteers of NE Ohio Monthly Meetup

Note: This is a meeting notice only. Not all Single Volunteer members are also members of - so RSVPs on this site do not reflect all attendees.

SINGLE VOLUNTEERS Monthly Meeting and Social - Location:  Olmsted Community Church (7853 Main Street , Olmsted Falls). Come to discuss new projects and make new friends. Open to all singles, even if you're just curious about our Single Volunteer group. Bring an appetizer or snack to share if you like (but not required) – pizza, beverages and good company provided by Single Volunteers. If you have questions about SV check out our website at - Please bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the food pantry of Olmsted Community Church.

We will once again be helping the Food Pantry located at Olmsted Community Church.  We are asking all members to “Bake A Pie on Saturday and bring it to the meeting All donated pies will be donated to the Food Pantry Families.  Anyone can bake a pie!  Be Brave!  Go to the frozen food section and buy a large frozen pie.  Bake it according to the directions –and you are done!  Do not bring unbaked pies.  We only want “Baked Pies”.  If you have any questions please contact Debbie at[masked] ([masked])

Donations for the Troops - at this meeting we will collect items to send to our troops over seas. For the last 2 years we collected items and sent them to Boatsie's Boxes. This is an organization that collects & organizes items from all over the country to forward to the troops. Our donations for 2010 and 2011 amounted to about 160 pounds each year, lets see if we can top this. I will hand out a shortened list of items needed at this meeting but if you want full details regarding Boatsie's Boxes or what is need visit their website at I will collect items thru the November meeting. If you have any questions, please contact Jo Ann at [masked] or[masked]- 7913.

NOMINATIONS FOR 2013:  It's time again to nominate officers for 2013.  Single Volunteers has 4 elected Officers:  President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer.  If you are interested in providing your skills to one of these positions please contact any of the current officers.  We will accept all nominations at the October and November meetings.  Single Volunteers will vote for our 2013 Officers at the December meeting.
