Founded in 1975, the Washington Volvo Club is the continuation of a club begun in 1958 for the care and feeding of Volvos of all years and styles. In 1978, the WVC was chosen to participate in a print and TV advertisement for Volvo Cars (the photo from that advert is on this page). After that, everything changed, and we ceased being a purely local Club. We went from fifty members to hundreds of members, from Sweden to Malaysia, from Maine to California, and in various places in between!

We maintain a full schedule of events throughout the year, from brunches and picnics to car show adventures to Do-It-Yourself technical sessions where we learn to fix our own cars. We welcome owners of all Volvo model years, old and new. We buy, drive and love old Volvos, and we buy, drive and love new Volvos. So if you're a Volvo owner and you love your Volvo, then you've come to the right place.
