Joyce Johnson is running for the U.S. House of Representatives, 15th Congressional District. Some of you may remember her as the NYS Field Director for the Obama 2008 Presidential Primary Election campaign. Her background also includes:

  • Exceptional management experience with the Fortune 500 company Seagram & Sons, were she made inroads for diversity as she completed Seagram's management trainee program, rose through the production operation management ranks, and broke the glass ceiling to become a national director.

  • Leadership roles in critical NYC government agencies such as the Manhattan Borough President's office, the Mayor's Office of Children & Families, and others.

  • Volunteer work on Manhattan Community Board 7, the Mitchell-Lama Residents Coalition, the Eleanor Roosevelt Legacy Committee, and as an elected Democratic Assembly District Leader.

Her leadership style is a unique and invaluable combination of pragmatic and passionate activism.
