An evening with New York State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman

Tuesday, October 25, 2011

Join the Network of Bar Leaders for an Evening with New York State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman.

Network of Bar Leaders (NoBL) invites you to a legislative event entitled:  "Recent Legislation and Enforcement Measures Designed to Protect Citizens Left Financially Vulnerable due to the Recession."

Audience participation is encouraged. The Attorney General will address pressing legal issues of the day. The 2008 housing market crash continues to have a devastating impact on average Americans. This forum will provide an opportunity for bar leaders, key elected officials and community leaders to discuss the legislative responses to the crash and ways these constituencies can partner to alleviate the financial strain impacting communities across the state.

The panel will discuss the following topics: "Sewer Service Legislation 2011," New Foreclosure Verification Requirements for Mortgages, New York "Tenant Blacklist Legislation of 2010," Retail Sales, and Home Repair and Construction.

The recent legislation and policies instituted are designed to protect New York residents who have recently experienced foreclosure, credit or other issues, who have been prevented from obtaining housing, loans and mortgages, important home improvement repairs, and even common household goods without a down-payment or credit check.

The event is free and open to the public.

Location: United States Federal Courthouse, SDNY, 500 Pearl Street, 8th Floor. 6:30 pm

To RSVP, or for further information about the event, please contact by e-mail  [address removed]

Please r.s.v.p. with your full name and address for security purposes. If you are a bar delegate, please state your bar affiliation. Network thanks our founder and former president the Honorable Harold Baer for helping to make this event possible.
