This week: Networking, Massive Rally Against Gun Violence, and more!

Hi Voterbook member,

Join us for two exciting and interesting events happening this week. This is the time to mobilize for gun violence prevention.  The Senate will be meeting soon to take a full vote on universal background checks, the assault weapons ban, and other bills.  We need to make sure that these bills pass the Senate.  Please join us in making our voices heard.  New York passed legislation and so must the nation!

1.  Spring into Action with Doctors for America - NY on Tuesday, March 19th.  Drink specials and complimentary appetizers from 6PM to 8PM.  We will be joined by guest speakers: Leah Barrett, Executive Director, New Yorkers Against Gun Violence, and Tim Foley who will be speaking on moving forward with the Affordable Health Care Act.  Meet new people and learn how you can make a difference.  All are welcome!

2.  New York Voices Against Gun Violence Rally on Thursday, March 21st at 4:30PM.  Join Voterbook, health care workers, mother's groups, youth groups, faith based groups, and many other community organizations for this massive mobilization.  We will be urging Congress to use New York as a model for federal gun violence prevention legislation.
