Saturday at the Wake Sanctuary on Lake Conway

ANOTHER EDIT!!! I thought there would only be a few hardcore nuts coming out for the morning session but now it seems there will be a decent amount of "water enthusiasts" trying to shred early in the AM.
Parking will be and issue! I will shoot all RSVPers an email midday with more details about parking, please let me know when you "plan" to come and for whatever As Bs Cs and Ds. About 5ish cars can get in my driveway for people like BillH who will be coming in and out. I will get everyone who is planning on staying an extended amount of time to do some valet-ish park at a neighbors house a third of a mile down the road or at a business one mile down the road.

EDIT!!! I am a hosting newb...those who already have or will RSVP please do this for me to help me gauge crowd flow:
A. Morning Wakeboard/Ski/etc
B. Midday - Maybe Grill out and drink beer on the dock today :-)
C. Afternoon More Wakeboard/Wakesurf/etc
D. Evening RockBand-GuitarHero/Food/Lake Cruise(with spotlights...)/etc...actually, if you are staying for this bring your socks; I am feeling a Wii bowling tourney on some wood terrain; actually, scratch that..bring your socks IF you feel will be sober enough to Wii bowl and not slip and slide n bust your arse imitating alley bowling.

Please RSVP with which items are interesting. That is, RSVP with the comment 'BCD' if you plan on attending from midday on.

I have been telling Derek for over a year now that I will host a wake meetup to help out and hopefully payback a smidgen of the generosity he has shown to me and everyone who has attended his meetups. it be-ith, I'm holding a lil wake tribute to Derek and the network he helped create over the last few years.

Glass water boarding sets as early as 7:30am. As the water gets chopped through the day we'll transition to wakesurfing or whatever board or water toys whoever wants to try out; should have 2 maybe 3 boats out so everyone should get fully lake saturated among the 4 lakes that make up the Lake Conway chain. Boats will be shuffling people in and out for whatever water sports until sunset. May do some late night lake cruising and...wildlife spotting if we make it that far. There should be enough stuff at the house and on the water to keep most people entertained.

Food wise, bring whatever snacks and drink you may like; I don't have 4 or 6? beers on tap like Derek but we'll make it work =) For those who brave the early morning whatever we can do some brunch at the house. Burgers, brauts and so on will be grilled midday and onwards to feed the masses.

Don't forget to thank Derek when you see him next for starting and hosting so many meetups for so many people!

hah, so i'm not the only one up this late...actually just shot my boss and email telling him i'd have to leave a little bit early friday just to prep for this satr thing. yeah need about 3 to 6000+ extra weight in boat and then edging against the rope like some slalom skier on a mission and then nature and physics take over and you get sent somewhere. wakeskates are useful in learning raleys and raley-variations
