Roaring Twenties Lawn Party at Crane Estate in Ipswich! TODAY!

Please feel free to bring a blanket, chair, cooler/picnic!  Here is the FB page for today's event:

Roaring Twenties Lawn Party

The Roaring Twenties Lawn Party celebrates the music and dance of Castle Hill in its hey-day! The lawn party will feature twenties and thirties jazz, swing dancing, and select vendors selling vintage clothing and accessories on our half-mile long landscaped lawn (the recently restored Grand Allee) lined with statuary and hedgerows. Professional dancers will start the party with a group dance lesson beginning at 3PM. Brooklyn-based Baby Soda Jazz band will take the stage at 4PM and play throughout the evening. Attendees are encouraged to come in twenties-style dress, bring a picnic supper, or purchase one on-site, and spend the evening.

Members. Students. and Seniors: $15. Non-members: $20.

The Roaring Twenties Lawn Party will be held in partnership with Boston Swing Central, a dancer-formed, volunteer-run non-profit dedicated to promoting swing dance. They hold regular dance parties in the Boston area and welcome new members. Please visit for more information.

I am set up by the speaker stand and row of 3 small pine trees. I'm wearing a blue t-shirt and beige shorts. I have an olive green blanket, a mexican blanket and a beige folding chair.

You can bring whatever you'd like - see email I sent with event FAQs. I plan to buy food there but others will be picnicking on the grounds for sure.

A LOT of people will dress up but I am sure many won't as well so don't feel pressured.... :) It'll be fun to see what others wear. They are also having old fashioned lawn games, people are bringing vintage chairs and stuff. Should be interesting to see!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
