Come join us for a hike on Blue Mountain during a day open to the public. This event is sponsored by the, Friends of Blue Mountain.
Friendly pets are allowed but must remain on a leash and you must clean up any waste.
Booths will be set up and there will be goodies and information about the efforts to create the Blue Mountain Wilderness Park.
There will be commemorative T-shirts available for purchase and a free will offering.
We will begin the hike at the corner of Palm avenue and Honey Hill drive.
It's approximately 2 miles one way, and a little over a 1000' feet of climbing (the peak ~2,417 ft.). Considering the elevation gain, this is a STRENUOUS hike. So please be in a moderately decent shape for hiking and prepare for a good work-out. Bring enough water to drink (1-1.5 liters). Also, plan to be out between 1.5 to 2.5-hours depending on your hiking ability.
If you bring a guest you must stay with them and are responsible for their safety
