There will be several distance options for your walk: 6, 12, 15, 18, and 21K.
6K option: The 6K walk will make a large loop through and around the Mercer Slough. The starting window for this distance only is from 8 - noon.
All ofther options: The starting window is from 8am -10am. From the Mercer Slough Blueberry Farm you will taken by bus to your starting point. The last bus leaves at 10am.
The 18 and 21K options: The bus will drop you off at the bottom of Weowna Park on West Lake Sammamish Parkway. You will walk up a steep hill through Weowna Park, head over to Robinswood Park, pass the Lake Hills Greenbelt, and meet up with those starting the 12 or 15K distances at the Larsen Lake Blueberry Farm.
The 12, 15, 18, and 21K options will leave Larsen Lake for Kelsey Creek Farm, go through Wilburton Hill Park and walk through a portion of the Bellevue Botanical Garden (including the suspension bridge).
Shortly after leaving the Bellevue Botanical Garden the trail splits. For those that want another challenging hill, the 15 and 21K routes will take you up through the Woodridge neighborhood via a steep well-maintained dirt trail. The 12K route skips both steep hills, the 18K route skips this second steep hill that comes towards the end of the walk. The 12 and 18K options take you on a more direct route back to the slough. The 21K is definitely a workout.
All routes are rated a 2B, some hills, dirt and gravel trails.
Several restrooms along the route, maps/directions will be provided.
