Seward Park and Lake Washington YRE (10K rated 1A)

Daylight savings will soon be ending -- let's do one more Tuesday afternoon walk before it gets too dark. This is one of my favorite walks and I'm looking forward to some nice fall colors along Lake Washington.

This is a beautiful walk along the shore of Lake Washington to Seward Park. Seward Park is one of the jewels of the Seattle Park system. We will walk around the park, hugging the lake shoreline most of the time, and then return to our starting point. Bring rain gear if needed; we walk rain or shine!

For Volkssport credit, go to Leschi Mart (103 Lakeside Ave S, Seattle, WA) before or after the walk. The walk box is actually a large folding file, mounted on the window on the right immediately after you enter the store. This is a remote start, and the sign in location is about 3 miles away from Stan Sayres, where we will start walking at 4pm.

We left before we got your post Joy and looked for you all--we were terribly late due to I-5 becoming a parking lot-- it was a good thing you didn't go--we enjoyed a lovely CAR ride around Seward park--wishing the rain would let up enough to walk! Hope you schedule this one again soon--the fall colors were awesome!

I just switched from attending to not attending due to the rain.

Thank you for hosting this Joy.

I would be glad to do this on an upcoming Sunday afternoon if it is not raining.

We (eastsiders) decided not to go because of the flood alert. Will reschedule - stay tuned! Sorry for late notice.
