Hike along the Mississippi River

Moderately strenuous due to descending the bank down to the river, and back up again to the parkway.  This walk requires climbing a lot of stairs, and may also involve some slopes and uneven ground. (Wear proper footwear.)  Last month we went down and up at least four times along the walk.

Only YES rsvp's are required.  No need to rsvp NO unless you're changing your previous YES response. Thanks

Today was a glorious day to get down close to the Mississippi river. I checked the DNR river height data before getting to Longfellow’s and the Ford Dam height was 3.3 feet today, so we were safe to hike down close to the shore on the East side of the river going North from Lake Street/Marshall Ave./Longfellow’s. Compared to the last time that we could get down in that area the river was very low and it looks very different each time I get down there depending on how high the river is.

Today’s food delight at Longfellow’s was the Shrimp Scramble, yum.

Oh no, I hate to miss this walk on such a beautiful day, but I came down with food poisoning last night at 1 am, so I need to just take it easy. Sitting here sipping herbal tea. No way I'm going to cancel this meetup, so you all can get out and enjoy this gorgeous weather! For the newcomers, there are several people signed up today who have done this walk before, so don't worry, they'll lead the way.
Would anyone be willing to share their phone # so Lori and anyone else has a contact?
    Have a wonderful walk!

Is there a phone number I can call if I am not coming? I have an appointment before the walk and I am not sure if i will be done on time or not.

I would love to go, but have to work. Have a bite at Longfellow Grill afterwards. Great food!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
