Holmdel Park

Hello Walkers, Back By Popular Demand.... We will be walking in Holmdel Park. This coming Sunday May 5th @ 9:00am. We will be meeting in the Parking Lot of Holmdel Park and the Legendary Longstreet Farm... Which BTW is still a working Farm.

We will gather at the Pavilion which is right next to the lake. And from there we will start our journey through parts of the Park that we have only done twice before and LOVED IT !

I know you all been pretty good with getting there at least 10 minutes early.... So Please keep up the good work. Thanks ;~)

From the parking lot, we will be walking on a beautiful long and winding trail.... It's pretty wide for almost the whole entire way. So that will be nice.... We will be walking along the outskirts of what used to be an old farm.... During the walk you'll see parts of working Tree Farms that are sure to catch your eye.....

We'll also be walking along  side parts of the Ramanessin Brook pictured here on the left, where you get a glimpse of Mother Nature at her best.... We may encounter some Deer so have your cameras ready... Last time we were there I got A glimpse of a Hawk looking for it's prey... And Hoping that it wasn't me... It's always exciting when you are one with Nature, cause you never know what lies ahead.

For the most part, this trail is Flat with some slight inclines.... But I have to admit... You'll definitely get a workout after doing this walk... But don't worry... We will be taking breaks at certain points during this hike. So Yes... It's a little challenging like some of the other Parks we have done... And Very Exciting to say the least ! I sure your gonna love it as much as the last time if not more now that Spring is here...

Sneakers may be worn on this Hike... But I would Highly Suggest wearing Hiking Shoes Or Hiking Boots for this one...

After the Walk/Hike.... For those of you who want Coffee or something to eat... I suggest we bring a Thermos cause they only have Soda in the vending machines... We can also bring a little snack to eat and or share with others if you want... Like some Fruit, Granola Bars, Brownies or even cookies... These are just an example to give you an idea... So... Bring what ever you want cause it's all good ;~)We can either hang inside at the Pavilion....Or maybe fine a nice spot outside with a table.... You might want to bring a folding chair and possible a blanket just in case...

As always... We will walk in a Lite Rain. Only Heavy Rain will cancel this... Those Signed up will be notified by E-mail and it will also be posted on this page.

So.... If In Doubt... Check It Out !

Thank you all again for coming 10 minutes early.... We will be leaving at 9:00am. Sharp...

It was great to see you Daryl! Thank you for the hug and the warm welcome!!It was wonderful to see such a large group. Sorry we lost track of you all. Sandy was very kind to accompany me back. I rested a little while and we ended up going back to the trail and finishing it, but at a slightly slower pace. He was very good company on the walk. It was a lovely trail I've never been on, but will definitely do so again. Will hope to see you at Seven President's Park....take good care all til then.
