Lake Chabot Walk in Castro Valley

The walk is about 3 to 4 miles and should take about an hour and a half. The northern side is a little more hilly than the southern side, but either is fine with me. We walk out then back on the same path no matter which way we go (the lake takes several hours to walk around). The path is mostly paved (there are some spots on the southern side that are just packed dirt).

After the walk we'll meet at Starbucks for coffee at the corner of Castro Valley Blvd and Santa Maria Avenue in Castro Valley.

PARKING: $5 to park in the lot or free to park on the street and walk in (it's not very far to walk in from the street to the parking lot attendant).

RESTROOMS: Several locations

Sounds fun but I haven't done distance walking in awhile so wonder about endurance. I do cross fit twice a week but I am 74 years old. Anyone have thoughts?

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
