** We don't all walk together in one group** (Some people have asked why we don't.)
Meet other local people in their 30's, 40's & 50's who are interested in Walking for fitness (some members in their 60's too).
Not much of a jogger? Me neither. I prefer the relaxation and conversation you gain from walking with a group of friends. Walking in a location with a view, away from the street noise, is a big plus. One of my favorites is Angel Island.
Prefer those who are in relatively good shape (capable of walking at a good pace for at least an hour and able to talk at the same time). If you're not sure, chances are you should visit your doctor first.
The walks are free. There's no membership fee or event fee for this group. I pay Meetup for the group and consider it my gym membership.
Parking is mostly free at our walking locations, or any coffee or lunches we decide to have during or after a walking event.
I try to make the events easy to find, but some are a little more complicated. You should use an online map site whenever possible. Once you get to the location, just look for a group of people usually gathered near my gold-colored car.
