Botanic Gardens Walk

Join me and Lucy the Spoodle for a casual, and highly sociable, stroll through the gardens. We will start from the Cable Car lookout point and work our way down to the rose garden via walking paths and bush tracks, crossing the little creek, rounding the duck pond and through the scented garden. Having said that, Lucy does lead the way and she likes to go a different way every time, so a completely different route may occur on the day :-)

We will stop for refreshments at Picnic Cafe - who kindly have doggy water bowls on offer - and sit and relax among the roses for a bit.

We will then head back up to the Cable Car lookout point using the easy (gentle incline) bush route option. Those who want to leave the walk in the rose garden and head off in other directions are welcome to do so.

There is a Tournament Pay & Display Car Park at the Skyline Function Centre right next to the Cable Car at the end of Upland Road. Otherwise you may be able to find street parking closer to Kelburn Village, a 5 or so minute stroll to the Cable Car lookout point.

Lucy and I do this walk in all weather but, if it is particularly bad, I will send out an email by 8.30am on the morning of the walk advising of cancellation.

This will be an on-lead walk for our poochies in compliance with Botanic Garden requirements.

Looking forward to having you join us!

Hi Janine, hope you and the pooches are ok and not lost. We might start walking down to the rose garden. If you are on the way, perhaps give me a text on[masked] so we can meet up down the bottom somewhere? :-)

Hi Lesley, it's lovely to have you & Dusty as Walkies! members. Do you have any favourite walks in Kapiti that you would like to share with other members? If you like, you can either email the details to me and I will schedule a Kapiti meetup on our calendar or you can schedule one yourself at a time and date that best suits you - on a week day if you like. :-)

Lucy and I sincerely apologise for not being able to attend our regular Botanic Gardens walk yesterday ....... Lucy was suffering a very bad hangover. To make up for it, we would like to invite all our 4-legged and 2-legged friends along same time this Saturday (19th October) for a walk and coffee. Hope you can make it! :-)
    Cheers,
    Tania (and Lucy the Spoodle)
