Queen Elizabeth Park walkies! (2014, round 2)

Here is a link to the map showing where we will meet: Map of Paekakariki end of the park. Enter the park on Wellington Road, drive through the archway, across the bridge, and then turn left onto the loop road. The car park is on your left opposite the toilet block (to the left of no.9 on the map).

Steph

Meet at the Paekakariki end of the park, and walk for about 1.5 hours - a mixture of beach, coastal paths and more park-like tracks. Will post a map and further details nearer the time.

Jeanelle. We're going to start wandering on the beach. We're at the Paekakariki end of the park!

Hi Stephanie, so sorry - we went to the same car park as last time and didn't have my phone on me to check the directions. We wandered on the beach and thought we saw the doggie group so tried to catch up with you in the sand dunes but my daughter was struggling a bit with asthma so turned back. Hope you all had a great walk and we look forward to the next one : )

Hi Alanah, sorry you can't make this time - we try to do a morning walk at QEP sometimes too. Won't be long til there's another afternoon one put up! :)

Hi Stephanie...so sorry, Billie and I will not be joining you tomorrow after all! Billie is 12 now and spent the day at the groomers where he wasn't able to nap as usual...so I just feel a 1.5 hr. walk will be too much for my little old guy...but we'll sign up again soon for something more "age appropriate" - haha! Have fun!

So sorry guys, just picked up the little guy from the vet and he is zonked! The vet said he shouldn't have strenuous exercise over the next 48 hours so sadly we won't be there. Which is a shame, as Bristol loves his doggie mates. But defo next time. Cheers

Forgot to say that His Highness is booked into the vet on Friday to get his teeth sorted (!) so as long as he's over the anaesthetic, we'll be there. If he's not feeling so hot, will add a comment here first thing Sat morn. Fingers - and paws - crossed he's okay!

I'm very keen to do this walk, but I might not be awake in time as I finish work late on Fridays. If I am up (and compos mentis), I will RSVP on the day. Hopefully I'll see you there!

I'm sure your 2 canine companions would make sure you're up in time if they knew!

If I applied the compos mentis rule, I'd never do anything ;-)

I would be keen to come along - my wee guy won't handle the full time, (he'll only be a bit over 4 months!) but we'll do a short walk, and he's always keen to meet other dogs!

That's fine with all of us. Hit the rsvp yes button, we're always happy to have a bona fide puppy to coo over! :-)
