We will meet in Gold Creek at 9.00am which will facilitate car pooling as it can be finalized at Gold Creek on the morning of the trip to Young. I ask people without cars who can not get to Gold Creek to post a comment seeking a lift from their suburb to Gold Creek and I ask people coming from that area to offer them a lift to Gold Creek.

Where we meet in Young
We could look at having some refreshments when we arrive in Young at KFC which is at the corner of Lovell and Zouch Streets in Young.
Parking will be at a premium. We will need to find a meeting point which is away from the busiest venues for the festival, park where we can and walk to the meeting point we have chosen before joining in the festival activities.
I am open to suggestions.
Young is the place to be during the Cherry season. The National Cherry Festival is celebrating its 64th Anniversary in 2013 and has many new events planned. Young receives thousands of visitors from Australia and beyond during the festival, providing the opportunity to the community of Young – also known as the Cherry Capital of Australia – to celebrate not only the cherry season and harvest (November-December), but the strong sense of pride that exists within the town. The Street Parade is held on the Saturday, 7th of December. Other highlights of the festival include the Celtic Tattoo, Cherry Festival Carnival, Bush Poets, markets & stalls and much more.
