About the Grind:
For those who are unfamiliar with the Grouse Grind, it's a 2.9 km hike up Grouse Mountain gaining about 700 m vertical in the process - so it's a rather steep climb up. Some may say it's torture, but at the end of it, there's a very rewarding and accomplishing feeling that you get!
Average Times and Fitness Level Information:
The average time is about 1:30 for completion and this will vary quite a bit depending on fitness level and if you have experience on this hike. Anyone is welcome to join on this hike up, but to save yourself some trouble, be prepared with proper clothing plus hydration is very important. Furthermore, be prepared for something that is quite cardiovascular and physically demanding.
For this hike you may either go up solo or with others from the group - either way we will be meeting at the top and we will hang out there for a while. Afterwards, we will take the gondola down - the cost of this is $10 (no cost for going up the Grind).
