I am 25, ambitious and still trying to figure out how to make a difference in the world. I work at an Innovation consultancy and am collaborating with thought leaders to help other organizations solve wicked business problems. I use systems thinking and trend analysis to identify innovation opportunity spaces and to uncover consumers' needs. By collaborating with our clients, consumers and experts from parallel industries, we invent game-changing solutions to solve for the needs we uncover. While my job is extremely empowering and inspiring, it is mostly focused on corporate challenges. I would like to expand my expertise to try to solve bigger and more complex issues, such as reinventing the U.S. education system. Part of solving a complex issue involves learning about it in many different contexts (i.e., the different ways people are educated in different parts of the world), and I aspire to build a global network of friends to collaborate with in finding solutions.
Traveling and experiencing different cultures is something I highly value but need to activate on. I am passionate about travel, but need a better plan to figure out how to actually experience the world in the most productive way. By connecting with globally-minded women, I know I could learn so much about how others have accomplished this and the types of things they have gained from doing so.
I'm Lauren. My passion (and career) involves using design thinking to create revolutionary new solutions to messy problems. I have not traveled nearly as much as I'd like to, but I'm trying to plan how to best to do so and want to learn from you!
