Wanderlust is going to EUROPE!

Ever wanted to go to Europe?

But..... you are afraid of the cost?
But..... you don’t want to go alone?
But..... the idea of a big tour company packing you like sardines onto a bus with a militant schedule just sounds icky?

Kick those buts to the curb!

Come join us for 10 days for an intimate tour of Northern, Western Europe – Amsterdam (The Netherlands), Northern Germany and Berlin. This trip will take place August 18 – 28, 2012. We’ll see the “big” sites but also spend plenty of time off the beaten path - riding a bike through the city like the locals, hopping on trains and trams like a pro, and eating dinner at the yummiest local haunts.

This tour will be about you – what you would like to do, what you would like to see, what you would like to experience. We are keeping the group small – only 10 spots are available and you’ll get to know each other long before the plane even takes off. A small group like this will allow us to enjoy Europe up close and personal. And, since we are all about traveling “on a dime”, we will focus on making Europe affordable!

Wanderlust On A Dime is not a company – we are simply a group of independent travelers who want to explore the world together. This trip is being led by Simone - the lead of this MeetUp group. This is not some sort of commercial trip - it's just us, the group, from Cinci. Each traveler will be responsible for themselves and paying their own way.

We will be hosting an INFORMATIONAL SESSION on Thursday, June 7th at 6pm at the Newport Public Library (2 minutes from downtown). If you are interested in this trip, you must attend the informational session. If we need to hold a second informational session, we may, but a second session is not planned at this time.

This was the most incredible trip!I experienced sights, tastes and the local culture with Simone's promise of an "off the beaten path" type of trip. She did an excellent job of preparing us before we left and organizing all of the details!I can not thank her enough for all she introduced us to!This was a fun group and my experience was both educational and a blast!I too came in under budget like Georgia,Kara and Marle.I look forward to Simone's next trip!thanks,Jennifer

This trip to Europe was very good in all the aspects and at all the time.
Simone, always give us a realistic idea of what we could expect from this trip.
And I can personally say that I got much more than I expected.
Good company, interesting and beautiful places to know and relax, and memorable experiences. And Like Kara, I came back with some money for my next trip to Bahamas!
Thanks Simone for sharing your knowledge with us!
I am more than ready for our next trip!

The trip was really great - so many unique experiences and places I may not have chosen had I gone alone. Really fantastic. Simone also did a wonderful job scheduling weekly get togethers - sharing all sorts of tip & tricks related to traveling, language, culture, etc. There was something in those sessions for everyone - really helpful and a great way to get to know each other before the long trip. Thank you Simone - du bist wunderbar! :)

I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to take this trip! I had a fabulous time at some wonderful places with some fun people and had some great accommodations. I learned so much from Simone, and she put together a great trip. The budget was spot on. Actually, I didn't ever think twice about any of the purchases I made being within my budget. Even with my Birkenstocks I purchased in Berlin, I had plenty of money left over to spend on a trip to New Mexico to visit with family (coming up next month)! I agree with you, Georgia, I can't wait for the next trip Simone puts together! Wonder where it will be to....

AMAZING time! The people were great, every place we stayed was very nice and we had a fabulous organizer that did a great job! Well, worth it (and then some). From beginning to end this trip went exactly as Simone stated, even with some of mine (and Carl's) special accommodations (private rooms) we still came in under $2,600 each for the trip and that is including the "extra" spending. I would do it again, and again and again given the chance...can't wait for the next great adventure that Simone puts together. Thanks!

Simone is great .... full of energy and excitement. The tour looks well thought out and should be a good one. I may have questioned the food "cost per day" as too low, but didn't want to stop the flow of the talk. I have been to Europe before and even bottled water will run up the tab; add meals, beers / wine ....... and there is no way your cost is only 20 US per day. Anytime the rate of exchange benefits the other currency, overall costs are just going to be higher. It would be difficult to get by on that amount in the USA today unless you just had fast food and no alcohol. Timing of the tour didn't work for me.

I could not make the meetup on the Europe trip but may be interested if there are not 10 people signed up. I would need to find out what I missed...cost of airline tickets, hotel, etc. Thanks.
