The Warren Astronomical Society meets monthly on the third Thursday in a room in the library (Building J) at Macomb Community College's South Campus. We are meeting in our summer-session room, 151. Enter through the northwest entrance; if you arrive after 8 PM the doors may be locked. If you are locked out, call a club officer to help you get inside. We do a business meeting to start the night, then have a major presentation usually put together by one of our members.
For this evening, Lee Hartwell is going to present a film featuring Hawaiian astronomical observatories; he will provide narration for the film's images.
Lee Hartwell is one of the club's most tireless outreach presenters. He can be found carrying out our club's mission at schools and with Scout groups, and has a stockpile of Astronomical Society of the Pacific kits available for other club members to use.
If you would like to present a short talk (5-15 minutes) or a long talk (40-60 minutes) at a future meeting, please email Diane Hall at [masked].
The views expressed in presentations are those of the speakers and do not necessarily represent, and should not be attributed to, the Warren Astronomical Society.
