I love hiking (stopping to smell the roses, check out & identify wildflowers, appreciate the geology, and simply commune with nature. My spirit is renewed and refilled in mountain cathedrals. Besides hiking, I love to just sit on a slope and gaze out over a landscape millions of years old, watching the sun set, eating S'mores and watching the Milky Way cast its glow over all. Even a brief weenie roast or outdoor dinner after work in one of the canyons is a blessing! I love to preserve my experiences and perspective through photography, and every friend I make keeps my memories more solidly imprinted. Good fun, good friends.
I would like to take the Park City Town Lift up to the top and follow some of the trails that go along the ridge, over the ridge, and down the slopes from there. Also Catherine Pass, the Uintas, Albion Basin, Grandeur Peak, perhaps even a 2- or 3-day weekend hiking / wandering trip to the Ruby Mountains east of Elko.
Tetons / Jackson Hole.
For a gal who was raised in the back of beyond (Dad was a forest ranger on the Wasatch and Humboldt forests), I have done remarkably little hiking in my adult years. I want to remedy that, make new friends, and find beautiful places to photograph!
