Oktoberfest Dinnerfest with The Culture Club and the Lithuanian Meetup!

We had so much fun last year we decided to bring back the joint Oktoberfest meetup with the Lithuanian Meetup group and this year we will be joined by The Culture Club!

We will be meeting again at the Old Europe Restaurant in the Glover Park area just north of Georgetown for our Oktoberfest Dinnerfest. This restaurant has great food, drinks, rustic European decor, and maybe live entertainment.

We're expecting a large turnout so sign-up soon!

We are expecting a light rain later this evening. If anyone is driving to the event and would like to volunteer to drop people off at the Metro at the end of the night please be sure to mention it at the restaurant!

It does look like a sizable group this year! I'll propose your idea of a "quick service" menu to the manager. We will not want to limit anyone's choices and there are very inexpensive and quick options like a Bavarian pretzel (almost a meal by itself!) as well as full course dinners on both the Oktoberfest and the regular menus. Of course, this event is all about friendly conversation and based on all those who have RSVP'd from each group we will certainly have that to keep us occupied!

Hi Peter, this sounds like it's going to be a big party ;) Is it an idea in order avoid long waitingtimes for the food to ask Old Europe to have a special menu for our group only? In that way they are far more better prepared for our group?
    Have a nice weekend!

Right now we are looking forward to a combined attendance of 50+ people and Old Europe will be opening up their Rathskeller for our use with a dedicated beer bar to make sure that the drinks service will be quick. The food is really good, but serving does take time as everything is prepared to order. We should have enough space in The Rathskeller to allow more people to come, so please join the wait list if you would like to go and I will update the total spaces available next week!

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
