Passport DC Embassy Open House

On the 5th May, more than 40 embassies in Washington DC will be open to the public. This is a chance to sample the food, listen to the music and experience the culture from places around the world, without needing a plane ticket. As there is a separate European Embassy open day, most of the embassies open on this date are from countries outside of Europe.

This year, we'll visit the embassies around International Drive, close to our regular meeting place, Epicurean. Embassies in this area include those of Bangladesh, Brunei, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Pakistan and Nigeria. If time allows, we'll take the free shuttle bus to visit embassies in other areas of the city.

There is only one escalator at Van Ness Metro station - at the top of the first escalator, turn left, and we'll meet outside Starbuck's.

Items to bring: - A camera - Comfortable shoes for walking - Hat and sunscreen - An umbrella if it looks like it might rain. Several other Meetup groups will also be participating in this event. Please only sign up with one group.
