IT professional for 30 years (more like 60 if you count the hours). Began riding thirty years ago for exercise and a chance to focus on something else. Can't stay on a horse long if you aren't focused in the moment. Secretary of the club for 2012.
This club is a great way for adults to start riding more. Beginners are encouraged to register for troop lessons so that they receive a rating from the stables and basic horsemanship skills. Members with trail cards (sort of like drivers license to go out on the trail alone) can bring others with them on their rides. The club plans events at Watchung and elsewhere, runs the commissary for the troop shows, and donates the proceeds to the stables. Nice people doing nice things. (Be warned: Food is ALWAYS a part of each event.)
