I'm passionate about building a community for women who want to learn web programming. I help out with most WCC classes and arrange our speakers and other events--so if you or someone you know would like to be on the schedule, let me know!
I co-founded the Women's Coding Collective to create an open, welcoming, pressure-free space for women to learn web development.
Co-founder of the Women's Coding Collective (http://thewc.co). Ph.D. in Social Psychology, graduate certificate in Women's Studies, n00b coder. Also a runner, biker, vegetarian, and feminist.
I love the women I meet through this group--they range in age from teenagers to women in their 70s. Their backgrounds are varied and they all seem to have interesting experiences to share. Going into our third year, I'm really proud of the community the Women's Coding Collective is building in Boston.
